This program portrays the consequences of being involved with gangs. It consists of a simulated gang conflict re-enactment and intervention by the local Police Department. It is interwoven with statements by a police officer talking candidly to the youth about the consequences juvenile offenders face in the justice system for violent gang banging offenses, and its potential impact on the community. Through their personal life stories the youth discuss the negative consequences of their involvement with gangs. This program explores how their involvement with gangs affected their relationships with family members, their own self-respect, performance in school, involvement with the juvenile justice system, and in some instances lead to deaths of friends and family members. The program concludes with their messages for the younger generation.
